PROJECT AREA AND LOCATION
The project covers 100,000 hectares (ha) of flood control drainage/irrigation areas, including 57,000 ha where integrated water management plans were prepared under the project preparatory technical assistance (PPTA).
The area includes selected areas in the southwest areas of Bangladesh, covering the districts of Faridpur, Gopalganj, Jessore, Magura, Narail and Rajbari.
IMPACT AND OUTCOME
The impact of the project will be enhanced economic growth and reduced poverty in rural areas of the selected subregions in the southwest ares.
